Trained volunteer tutors work with adult students on Basic Literacy and English as a Second Language (ESL) skills. Tutors meet with their students at Rowan Public Library, any of it's branches, or other approved sites throughout the county.
Students choose personal, educational, and work related goals. Our core curriculum may be supplemented by computer programs and materials from our library and from Rowan Public Library.
In addition to Basic Literacy and ESL, tutors may assist with basic math, driver education, or citizenship preparation.
Trainers and the office staff provide on-going support for tutors and their students.
