        On April 17, contestants for the 9th Annual Scrabble Scramble met at the Holiday Inn to enjoy an evening of fun,

win prizes, and compete for bragging rights as the 2012 top scorers


        Competition was fierce, and the South Rowan Y Service Club came away the winners.  Trinity Oaks Retirement

Community and Friends of the Library took second and third places, respectively.  Next were Friends of the First

United Church of Christ, Perfekt Spelers, Ting Hao and newcomer, Kay Norman.


        Our thanks go to the participating teams, to the merchants and individuals who lent their support, and to the

many volunteers who worked to make the evening a success.
